The barcode vase takes its inspiration from the ubiquitous labels found on mundane everyday products. The off-centred stepped band creates the barcode graphic by a series of unequally sized and unevenly spaced grooves, which hold the black glaze whilst the rest of the area has the colour removed, revealing the natural white of the earthenware body.

Each barcode vase stands tall, at a height of 300mm with the square section of the band (the widest part of the vase) measuring 80mm x 80mm.
