The prime time series Sheila Bridges: Designer Living on the Fine Living Network produced a television segment about Daniele Perna Designs’ unique fireplaces. Host Bridges and Perna sat in the romantic ambiance of his design, the Zellij fireplace, on low hand carved wood Afghani chairs. While logs were burning, they discussed the evolution of the design process and the benefits of owning a custom fireplace.

When creating the composition of the Zellij fireplace, Perna chose to incorporate Moroccan tiles because of their rough-hewn quality - the color and surface of the finished product varies. \"The tile has an imperfect quality in color and surface which adds a tactile aesthetic to the fireplace design and ultimately is part of my aesthetic style.\" He continues, \"When you view the Zellij fireplace that imperfect quality of the tile adds to the visual experience similar to accenting a delicious food with a spice.\"

When preparing his fireplace designs, Perna strives to create a feeling of visual alchemy. He says, \"Fireplaces are magical. They create ambiance, charm, and warmth, and can be the focal point of a room. They add a special energy to a home.\" With exuberance Perna exclaims, \"Fire warms the soul!\"
